S.H.E. is a skill development program for young women (age 14 – 21) that focuses on building a positive understanding of self-worth and confidence by focusing on the subject areas of Living, Feeling & Thinking Healthy.
• Female between 14 – 21 years old
• Attending school, taking classes online, attending GED classes, High School Graduate, or GED completion
• Willing to participate in at least 80% of sessions
Areas of focus will include:
• Life Skills Classes
• Healthy Eating
• Physical Activity
• Mental Health Services
• Vocational Assistance
• Supervised Mentorship
• Community-Based Service Projects
Transportation and meals are provided. The program takes place each Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm - 8pm until May 2019.
Summer employment is provided for 6 weeks. Young women who meet all program requirements will be eligible for employment.
